Nowadays, many football players in Europe have been transferred with a great amount of money. For example, this summer Real Madrid and Manchester City invested plenty of money to get some players of the first rank in spite of the global economic recession.
First, I would like to explain the Real Madrid case. In this year, Florentino Perez assumed the chairman of the Real Madrid. He acquired a lot of superstars from another European League’s clubs. Christiano Ronald transferred to Real Madrid for 96 million euros from Manchester United in England, and Kaka transferred to there for 68 million euros from A.C. Millan in Italy. Perez spent 250 million in all, but he is convinced that he can pay back the many and get profits to deal in many kinds of goods such as selling uniforms and broadcasting rights. In fact, Perez acquired some popular and famous strikers who can make the viewers be fun because almost of Spanish supporters love aggressive games which score a lot of goal.
Secondly, I would like to explain the Manchester City’s case. In 2008, a group of investors in the U.A.E. purchased the Manchester City, and the club has become the richest one in the world. Also, the club tried to gain many superstars, but the club wasn’t big and well known in the world. Most of them refused the offer from Manchester City. Actually, the club offered Kaka to transfer for 100 million euros, but the offer was refused because Manchester City hasn’t won the any titles recent year. Some players think that it is important to get titles rather than money. However, the club has done efficient reinforce. The club got many players from the rival teams in the same league without sparing the money because England league is more speedy and powerful than any other leagues, so it is difficult for foreign players to fit in England league soon. Also, the club enticed some players each position. In fact, the club enticed three strikers, two midfielders, and three defenders. The club spent more than 200 million euros in this summer.
Finally, in July and August of every year, considerable money is spent to get hold of football players. Also, funs are excited by the matches of comparable strength like an entertainment. However, Michel Platini, who is the chairman of UEFA, said that “Exceeded the transfer fee will have a harmful influence for all of the European clubs.” Therefore, UEFA has considered restricting the transfer market not to increase the transfer fee. I think many clubs spent a great amount of money to entertain the funs. However, if many clubs have heavy debts, almost of them may fail, so I think the transfer market should be restricted stricter, and put a great deal of effort into raising the young players who live in their hometown.
